Security
Good communications is essential to the success of any organisation, with the importance of effective voice, data and video networks becoming increasingly important.

Internet Protocol (IP) is becoming the single standard that powers electronic communications, opening up new forms of integration between different systems and placing a tremendous burden on the networks that carry this traffic.

Advances in communications technology and in particular the advent of the Internet have provided us with many new ways to communicate information quickly and effectively. However, with new methods of communication come new challenges and threats, with networks needing to be available 24 x 7, allowing access only to the staff and customers that you have authorised.

Managing these threats and challenges requires three key elements:

  • People – your organisation needs to be correctly advised how best to assess and manage risk and your staff need an understanding and appreciation of effective IT security
  • Processes – your organisation needs to have the correct processes in place to ensure that security is effectively assessed, monitored and managed
  • Technology – operating in harmony with your people and processes the correct technologies need to be employed, providing the appropriate level of protection for your organisation

Supporting the British and International Standards BS7799 / ISO17799, we are able to provide business guidelines on the implementation of IT Security and can work with you to effectively develop and implement a bespoke security strategy, which meets the guidelines set out within BS7799.
